Child Nursery Centers welcomes volunteers willing to share their abilities, interest and talents to help accomplish our mission of providing high quality, comprehensive early care and education for all children.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the organization and at all our centers. We strive to fully engage our volunteers' capacity to supplement and enhance delivery of services to children and families, provide more one-on-one interaction with children, enable the paid staff to be more productive, offer their unique skills and guidance and increase the overall quality of our programs.

We love making a difference in the lives of the children every day at CNC, and we know you will, too. We look forward to having you as part of the CNC team.

Listed below are only a few of the ways you can volunteer at CNC. Call Karen to explore other opportunities.

Helping children learn to read well helps them succeed in school and in life. Child Nursery Centers at Meadows Park provides after school care for children at nearby Stratton Meadows Elementary School. Many of the children are struggling in school because they are not reading at grade level. Reading tutors can help these children improve their academic achievement in all areas.

When: Any weekday afternoon, 3:30 to 5

Minimum Time commitment: One afternoon per week

Skills required: Experience in tutoring or teaching reading helpful.

The Day Nursery, built in the early 1920s, contains some lovely old furniture that could be put back in use with some care and repair from someone with skills and expertise in woodworking. We'd love to have your help to maintain the character and tradition of our wonderful old building.

When: Weekdays, flexible times, set your own schedule
