Child
Nursery Centers offers a full day year-long program at 5 locations in
Colorado Springs. The ages of the children served at each location range
from 6 weeks to 14 years and are determined by the licensing requirements
of the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Child Care Licensing.
All of our Centers are open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. five days per
week and includes 2 meals and a snack daily. We have an average of ten
closure days for holidays. Our Early Care and Education Program Model, which is used at all of our Centers, is a total approach
to early care.
Classroom environments are designed to accommodate children learning through individual and small group play based on interests and abilities. Outdoor play and physical activities are encouraged on a daily basis. Literacy is the cornerstone of all our curriculum.
All eligible Centers elect to participate in the Qualistar
program which is a quality based rating system for early care institutions statewide. Two of our Centers, the Historic Day Nursery and Meadows Park offer a School
Age Program (before and after school) for children until the age
of 14.
