The Home Network has been
part of the Child Nursery Centers since 2000 and has proven to be a valuable
service to the community. Many providers offer services at night and
on the weekends to families. Family Child Care sites have also continued
their involvement in School Readiness Grants.
The goal of the program is to:
- Decrease the sense of isolation of home care providers from other
childcare professionals
- Expedite reimbursement services for Colorado
Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) children in their care
- Increase technical and licensing support
All Family Child Home Care Providers are licensed with the Department
of Human Services. Home Network Care Providers have access to all the
teaching and training opportunities provided by the Child Nursery Centers.
Home Network continues its partnership with Community
Partnership for Child Development/Head Start. This partnership includes
family child care homes that serve 28 Head Start and Early Head Start
eligible children. In addition, comprehensive services are offered to
all children in these family child care homes.
