Nutrition Program
CNC offers a comprehensive nutrition program for all enrolled
children. This includes breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. These
meals exceed the daily nutritional requirements of the Child and Adult
Care Food Program (CACFP)
Meals at CNC are served family-style with a teacher seated with the children
during all mealtimes. Teachers provide role modeling for the children
which is essential to the development of their healthful eating habits
and positive attitudes toward nutrition.
Health and Safety Program
CNC's medical program is staffed with one full-time and one part-time
nurse and a bi-lingual Health Liaison.
CNC medical staff tracks immunizations, physicals, and maintains complete
health records for the children as well as CNC staff. Medical staff is
instrumental in providing health activities in an early childhood setting
that help children develop healthy eating habits that last a lifetime!
In addition, medical staff provides First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions,
and Medication Administration training for CNC staff.
Our Get Well Center offers child care for mildly ill children enrolled
at CNC. This allows working families to continue to go to work while
our medical staff is monitoring and providing TLC for their ill child. |
