The Child Nursery Centers receives quarterly income from an endowment established in 1941 when Alice Bemis Taylor left the Day Nursery Association 100,000 shares of Bemis Bag Company stock. A second distribution of Taylor funds was made to us in 1974 when the Bemis Taylor Foundation dissolved. The formula used to determine the income we receive is based on a pre- determined percentage of a rolling 12 quarters average of the market value of the endowment.

The CNC Foundation was established in 2000 as a separate non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and exists solely to support Child Nursery Centers operations. The Foundation manages all investments. The five member Board of Trustees includes the President and Treasurer the Child Nursery Centers Board of Directors
